Freedom of Information Meeting March 14

League is co-sponsoring the Annual Freedom of Information luncheon on Tuesday, March 14, at East West Centers Imin Conference Center (1777 East-West Rd, UH Manoa). Mark Cooper, Director of Research at Consumer Federation of America, will talk about internet freedom, media ownership, censorship, privacy and related subjects.

Cost for League members is $20 ($25 for general public) for the luncheon, which will be on the garden level of Imin Center. Registration is at 11:30 am, lunch at noon. To reserve a place, call the Media Council at 944-7111. Ask for parking instructions. Deadline is Friday, March 10.
