Planning Meeting on December 9

In recent years, the League of Women Voters of Honolulu has been holding only 2 membership meetings a year. The planning meeting is held in December and the other in April, when elections are held in even-numbered years.

On Saturday, December 9, we will meet at the Hale Koa Hotel, Lau Lima rooms 3 and 4 to discuss what we want to do next year.

8:30 - Registration. Coffee and Danish
9 am - meeting
11:30 - break Noon - lunch
12:30 - Cynthia Oi speaks
2 pm - pau

Tomato dill bisque
Sauteed chicken breast
Fresh vegetables
Garlic mashed potatoes
Assorted rolls
Fruit sherbet in chocolate meringue nest
Coffee or tea

For vegetarians, the chicken will be replaced by vegetarian fettuccine. Soup and dessert will be the same. Vegetarians should call the office (531-7448) to order the vegetarian option.

Following lunch, Cynthia Oi, editorial writer and columnist for the Star-Bulletin, will speak. Her topic will be "Reporting Hawaii". Send any questions you may have for her to the League office by Dec 4. The questions will be consolidated and presented to Ms Oi prior to her talk.

Parking will cost $2.50 with validation.
