Local Agenda Committee Orientation

THERE'S A PLACE FOR YOU on the Local Agenda Committee - and we hope you'll come to our very special January 27th meeting to find out about it. We've scheduled a morning to brief new Committee members (and_prospective members) on our plans and problems.

If you want up-to-the-minute reports on what has kept us so busy in 1965, here's your chance. Mary George will brief the Committee on the news behind the headlines on the ethics projects. Bea Levine will catch everyone up on what we've done, what we're doing, and what we are still committed to do in the field of City-County planning.

Lela Brewer will report for the new subcommittee on Local Reapportionment. Nancy Dykes (who has committed herself to be a Local Agenda Committee stalwart when she is free of her executive responsibilities as Honolulu League President) will brief us on how the Committee fits into the framework of League activities.

It will be a chance to pick a project to work on - either joining an old effort, or making a creative contribution by starting fresh with a new One. Please give us (and yourself) a chance by turning up to find out about what we think is the League's most exciting activity. Put it on your calendar now! Mary's phone number is 264-496. Call her if you want to know how to get there or if you need a ride. Transportation will be arranged for you if you wish it.

DATE & TIME: January 27, 10:00 a.m.

PLACE: Mary George's home 782-G North Kalaheo Avenue Kailua

LOCAL AGENDA PROGRAM PLANNING

If you are unable to attend a Unit meeting in January, you may still submit your ideas by using the blank above. Send it to Nancy Dykes before January 27.

If you have any ideas for a State Item, you may use the same blank.

I would like to have the following item(s) considered for addition to the (Local)(State) agenda.
