Membership... Is Every Member's Business

The Candidates Forum on September 10 will kick off the Annual Membership Drive. Not only does this meeting promise to be interesting, but the program for the year covers a wide range of topics and activities and should appeal to many. Membership is every member's business. The League can be a more effective force in the community with more active participating members. The percentage of League members to total population is less in Honolulu than in the nation as a whole. Invite a friend or, if you would rather, call LORETTA HICKS 262-9786 or TOSH TASAKA 988-6035 and they will gladly send an invitation. A prize will be awarded the unit with the highest percentage turnout of members and guests. SEE YOU AT 10:00 A.M. on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10th.

And in case you've forgotten to pay your '68-69 dues, send $10.00 to Mary Louise Garcia (Payable to League of Women Voters Honolulu) 6275 Upolo Place, Honolulu 96821. Or bring it to the General Meeting on September 10th or take it to your first unit meeting in September. Give to the Unit Chairman. Dues must be in by October 1st or according to By-Laws, you will be dropped from the roster. Transfer members from mainland Leagues will pay $2.50 to receive all the study materials for the year.
