TO LEAGUE, MEMBERS IN HAWAII KAI
......we now have a 15 minute monthly program on CABLE 6:
Introducing the League to viewers in the Hawaii Kai area the last week in January were Dee Luigi, League President; Judy Howard Hawaii Kai Unit Chairman; Diane Hastert, Chairman of the Planning Study; and Nan Lowers from the State Board, Miss Shauna Johnson from the staff at Cable 6 interviewed these Leaguers. Our mahalos to these women; they were an instant success and have been invited ,to participate again.
This month Nan will return to tell viewers how we arrive at ACTION using as her subject "Ethics". Joining her will be Judy Blatchford from the Hawaii Kai Unit. In March, Diane Hastert will explain the STUDY process focusing on the current Planning Study. Judy Blatchford will join Diane on this program.

Who qualifies as a leader? We all do!
On March 24th four community groups are presenting a leadership workshop at the Ilikai Hotel. Many aspects will be covered and it will be difficult to choose the sections in which you will want to participate. The fee for this workshop is $5.00,
Any member who wishes to attend under League sponsorship can do so by calling the office (531-7448). LWV will pay half the fee. The deadline for reservations is March 5th. For further information, please call the office.

We invite your contributions on: any meetings you have attended that pertain to study items; recommendations and reviews on any books you have read that cover the many areas of study and action. Please submit to the Editor by the third Thursday of each month.

For those of you who missed the last capitol tour we have scheduled another for Thursday, March 2nd. We hope to see the Senate and/or House in session and perhaps observe a committee hearing.
