Announcements!!!

GARBAGE DAY will now be January 27 and 28 at the Honolulu Zoo - a public education exhibit to demonstrate technology and problems of handling solid waste and recycling. "Garbage Weekend" isn't too catchy so we're working on another title. We will need help to supervise displays and exhibits. If you are willing please give your name to your unit leader or call Judy Blatchford - 395-2088.

PUBLIC RELATIONS NOTICE - from Nancie Perea

LEAGUE DAY ON DON HOBBS SHOW

Wednesday, January 17th - 10 - 11:30 am.

Vangie Lamberts will talk about the Housing Conference and Judy Blatchford will talk about Garbage Day.

The opening of the Legislature in January is an important event for League study committees. All our eyes will be focused there, hoping to see some League positions become law. The capitol building becomes an exciting place during these months, and we are hoping to share this excitement with all League members through a Legislative Tour in February. A group of seasoned lobbyists are even now meeting to concoct SuperGathering With Something for Everyone!!!!!

STAMPS! COUPONS!

WE NEED THEM!

Keep the stamps and coupons coming!

Fani Mar is our Gold Bond Group project chairman. She has distributed blue cards at the units. Members can have these cards punched at the time of purchase and get points for our stapler and labeler, and stamps for their own use tool If you have not received your card and shop at Times call Fani or the office and we will see that you and your friends can help.

Joy Curry is our Betty Crocker lady! In addition to saving coupons you might have ideas for getting others to save for us. If so call Joy so she can make those contacts. Keep baking - we will need that mimeo machine!!!
