Unit Coordinator - Annual Report

The units started out with a very good attendance last fall. As usual, however, the attendance tapered off a bit as the year progressed. The average attendance was as follows:

Hawaii Kai--17--Chairman, Lucille Rogers

Windward A.M.--15--Chairman, Jane Ball

Honolulu A.M.--15--Chairman, Glendora Alder

Windward P.M.--10--Chairman, Betty Tobiasson

Honolulu P.M.--7--Chairman, Betty Buck

The Hawaii Kai unit must get credit for attracting the most new members this year. Good work, Ladies.

A lot of interest was shown in starting a Kaneohe area unit as we already had several active members living there, so a membership coffee was held. After holding a couple of joint meetings with the Honolulu evening unit it was decided there were enough people on both sides of the mountains to again form two units. This was done and although attendance has dropped off since the heady autumn days, we feel both have enough members to continue. We do need a bit more push for members in those areas come fall.

An attempt was made to establish a Leeward unit, but, unfortunately, did not meet with success. Perhaps next year?
