Action AlleyLocally there was lots of action on League positions at City Hall. We have submitted or presented statements on Lobbyist registration, the Diamond Head Historical, Cultural, Scenic District and the General Plan Revision Program. There will be interviews with the members of the Council and observers continue to present at Neighborhood Commission meetings, Planning Commission, City Council, Planning and Zoning- committees and Council of Presidents' meetings. Community service was done by the League monitoring of the Neighborhood board election for Mililani Town. Ideas for other League action, as support of this citizen participation in government, can share them With Marian Heidel or Diane Hastert. Knowledgeable Leaguers shared some words of wisdom with the provisional members Of the Junior League. Other Leaguers will participate in the LWVUS interviews asked of our D.C. delegation. Tho' not action as such, both illustrate activities which Leaguers can take part in, if you take action by letting the board or unit leaders know your interest!
