Amendments to the City Charter
CORRECTION: From last month's VOTER; it is Councilman Rudy Facarro who thinks Astrid Monson is a "brainy lady".
The City Council has reported out several amendments to the City Charter. They seem to have heeded the League's advice and put only those issues they felt could not wait for a Charter Commission review on the ballot. There are eight proposed amendments. They will be on the November 7 ballot. Explanations and discussions of the proposed amendments can be found in this VOTER.
Now that you are all informed about what the League is doing at City Hall, I am sure that many of you would like to join those of us who spend our time there. The City Coordinator and the Program Committee Chairmen invite all interested members to a meeting to discuss what observers do and how they do it. The meeting will be in the League office on Tuesday, October 24, at 9:30 a.m. Please join us. We would like more League members to enjoy the show at City Hall.
