Are you concerned about housing? employment? day care? the rights of women (and everyone else)? Then maybe you're the person we need to carry our Human Resources (HR) portfolio. We have an HR file and plenty of background material.
What would you do as HR chair? You would review City Council bills on HR subjects, prepare testimony if needed, keep an eye on newspaper articles and write letters to the editor as necessary, respond to National alerts for action. If you can attend hearings and workshops, that would be great. If you can't we want you anyway, because most of this work can be done at home.
If several of you apply for this job, we could have an HR committee! There's a great deal to do in this area, so call Barbara Farwell (5317448 or 423-1681) if you're interested.
