National Security Study to be Launched

The 1982 LWV National Convention agreed that national_ security was the issue of the 80's and voted for a study of national security policies and their impact on our domestic programs and our relationship with other nations. Objective: arrival at a consensus at the end of the two-year study.

Dottie Gullicksen is trying to get together a committee to undertake this important study. There hasn't been much in the way of guidelines or material from National as yet but they will be forthcoming. If you are interested in this study which promises to be an exciting one, call Dottie at 955-5220.

In the meantime, a reading list of five resources has been recommended for those straining to get started. Dottie's looking for volunteers to read and summarize these and other reading material.
