State Convention

SATURDAY, JUNE 4, 1983 8:30 - 4:30 P.M.


The State Convention will be an all-day affair, and this year, will be preceded by a dinner on Friday night. (See separate story on this dinner.) The proposed budget and pro-gram to be adopted at the Convention are found in the spring issue of Leo Hana.

Fifteen delegates will be representing Honolulu League. Any member is welcome to at-tend the convention as a non-delegate. The cost will be $15.00, lunch and parking included, or $2.00 for materials and no lunch.

9:00 - 10:00 Presentation of delegates

Adoption of Convention rules, agenda

Presentation of budget, program, slate of nominees

10:00 - 11:00 State board presentation

What did we do for the past two years? Where are we headed now?

Each state board person will give a short talk on her port

folio; question and answer period to follow.

Speaker: Judge Betty Vitousek, Senior Judge, Family Court

Judge Vitousek gave our "kickoff" speech when we adopted the Juvenile Justice study item in 1979. She will now give a "windup" speech, as we close the study phase of the item and move into the action phase.

Lunch at 12:00 will be preceded by no-host wine at $1.50 per glass. There will be a choice of two entrees so please indicate your choice on the registration form. Registration forms should be returned by May 25.
