Opal Sloane Represents League on Hali 2000 Advisory Group

Opal Sloane, a member of League's Transportation Committee, has been representing League on the Bali 2000 Alternative Analysis Project Advisory Group since April of this year.

The Hali 2000 Study is the name of the Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization project of updating the Oahu Transportation Study which was published in 1967. The purpose of the update is to provide transportation planning for the island of Oahu from 1982 to the year 2000.

The Hali 2000 Study got underway in February and is targeted for completion on September 1. Input is being sought from several citizen advisory committees called Project Advisory Groups (PAGs), the Alternative Analysis PAG being one of them.

The Alternative Analysis PAG will be reviewing the policy, goals and objectives section of the update.
