Walston to Head New Honolulu Study

Mildred Walston was appointed to head the new Honolulu program, the study of the "Techniques and Effectiveness of Neighbor-hood Boards." Ann Reeves, Honolulu League Vice-president, will be coordinating the study.

The work of this committee will help prepare the membership for the League consensus on neighborhood boards scheduled for 1984. It is important for League to establish its position on neighborhood boards and participate in the public forum on the board's effectiveness as a means of citizen participation in local government.

Those interested in joining this committee should contact Mildred, 941-2938; Ann Reeves, 395-2213; or call the League office.
