Lush Green Open Spaces or Wall-to-Wall Concrete?

Honolulu League's Planning and Zoning Committee is offering a preview of the proposed changes to the Comprehensive Zoning Code on November 15 at 10:00 a.m. at the beautiful Marks Estate in Nuuanu.

The Department of Land Utilization is preparing a slide presentation that will address the questions running through your minds right now.

  1. WHAT IS ZONING ALL ABOUT?

  2. WHY ARE THESE CHANGES NECESSARY?

  3. WHAT'S WRONG WITH WHAT WE HAVE?

  4. HOW WILL THE CHANGES AFFECT US?

  5. SHOULD I CARE?

The answer to the last question is obviously "YES" if you care about how your neighborhood, the City and the island will develop.

A panel will then discuss the proposed changes, followed by an informal question and answer period.

Refreshments will be served.

CIRCLE your calendar now. Look for more details on this meeting in the next issue of the Aloha Voter.
