Bed and Breakfast in New Orleans

Another local League has adopted the "Bed and breakfast" deal as a fund raiser. (The Baton Rouge League's offer was publicized in a past issue.)

"New Orleans, engagingly contradictory in both appearance and character, is beguiling and exciting; jazz and honkey tonk in the French Quarter, opera and symphony four blocks away; New Orleans is a missile maker in crinolines, a gentlewoman with spicy stories. Our members are as varied and interesting as the city itself. We offer you our hospitality at a fraction of commercial rates: $30 double, $20 single." (Direct quote from their leaflet.)

Those of you who are interested in availing yourselves of their services may contact:

League of Women Voters of N.O. 1636 Toledano Street, Suite 301 New Orleans, La. 70115 (504) 895-2062
