League Theater Party a Smash

The League fundraiser, a night at the theater and wine and pupus afterwards, was a smashing social success and earned League the tidy sum of $1400, according to Nan Luter, program chair.

The play lived up to its billings, and the cast joined League members and guests for the libations under a tent on the patio adjoining the theater. Melvia Kawashima and Claudia Patil were in charge of the refreshments and scrounged up some delightful goodies which included chilled white wine, fresh vegetables and dip, quiche Lorraine, crackers and cheese and iced tea.

We thank Bea Bennett for the beautiful flower arrangement and these members who provided the refreshment: Claudia Patil, Melvia Kawashima, Caroline Ingersoll, Dorothy Bremner, Sue Thorndyke, Dee Lum, Anne Marie Duca, Laura Goo, Helen Griffin, Fay H ill, Wendy Wong, and Nan Luter. If we missed any names, please accept our apologies.
