League has been invited by the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women and Working Women of Hawaii to send a representative to join a coalition of groups to discuss and review "Comparable Worth" and what happened in the 1984 legislative session. The goal is to develop a position paper, write and distribute educational materials and put together an effective lobbying group to promote pay equity in Hawaii.
The first meeting will be on June 7 at 2:00 p.m. in Conference Room 314, State Capitol Building. If anyone is interested in being the LEAGUE REPRESENTATIVE in this coalition, contact Dee Lum at 949-6716.
