National Conference on Women, the Economy and Public Policy

"NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON WOMEN, THE ECONOMY AND PUBLIC POLICY" is being held on June 19 and 20 at the Washington Convention Center. Sponsored by the female members of Congress and endorsed by a long list of women's organizations, it includes Congressional panel discussion -- "Toward a National Policy on Women's Contribution to the Economy" -- and a multi-media presentation of papers written on "The Status of American Women" and "The Status of American Women of Color" among other things. For anyone who will be on the East Coast and interested in attending, there are two brochures in the office.
