Care to Learn a Little Hawaiian?? Ride TheBUS...
Bishop Museum News "Ka'Elele" reports O'ahu bus riders can now enjoy the "beauty, wit, and wisdom" of the Hawaiian language and culture as they cruise along the island's byways. Buses display posters citing proverbs from 'Olelo No'eau: Hawaiian Proverbs and Poetical Sayings by Mary Kawena Pukui. Poster illustrations are by Dietrich Varez. The project is a cooperative effort of Bishop Museum, the Honolulu City & County, and OHA Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
