President's Message

We are off on another League year with new Board members joining the holdovers as your leader

Members at large really are the people who direct League activities. Program determination, participation in discussions on studied subjects and .. reaching consensus, having a hand in monitoring and taking action once the position has been reached are just some of the ways members take part in League.

While there appears to be a hiatus in activity during the summer, the Board, the office volunteers, vote count crews and administrative and study committees will remain in motion. This may not be the most "appealing" time to urge you to get involved, but sometimes the pause in the other parts of your busy life may be just the right time to say: "Join in:"

Every membership study done since the year one (really 1920) has shown that those who get the most "out of League" are they who get involve So let all resolve to make this program year's resolution: I will make a note of League activities when my Voter comes and attend all I can.

See you there

Dorothy Lum
