State Studies

As reported in the last Voter, we now have two new studies which will be directed by the state League.

Marian Wilkins is LWV of Hawaii's coordinator for the Election laws study. we at Honolulu now need to find a chair and several members to form a local study committee.

Marian will provide materials and direction. We will provide bodies and brains! Call Dee to tell her of your interest.

As we go to press we don't have the name of the coordinator for the schools study. But we are willing to recruit members for our Honolulu committee.

If you have an interest in a study of vocational and alternative education, let us know.

Call the League office, #531-7448, between 9 a.m. & 11 a.m. or leave a message on our trusty tape.

Remember that study is the first step toward action. We cannot work for a change until we know what the current situation is and have reached a consensus on the studied subject.

These study committees will be especially good opportunities for new members to become involved in League. Let us hear from you.
