Amnesty Day - Toxic Waste Disposal

The Household Toxic Waste Disposal project sponsored by the State Office of Environmental Quality Control began with "Amnesty Day" on August 9 and 10 when the waste was deposited at specified locations. League members Jean Aoki, Arlene K. Ellis and Mary Frances Sutphen prepared and mailed out disposal information to Leaguers under the direction of Ardis Shaw-Kim on July 15th.

"Beginning at Home: Tackling Household Hazardous Wastes", a VHS tape produced by LWV-MASS. is available in the office.
