Cynthia Thielen

LWV member Cynthia Thielen announced she is running for the State House of Representatives, 19th District (Kailua-Mokapua).

Thielen, a Republican candidate, was endorsed by Hawaii State Teachers Assn. She is "delighted about the HSTA endorsement" and is "looking forward to being an education advocate in the Legislature."

She is an attorney, has a strong record on environmental issues. She served on the State Environmental Council, the Mayor's Task Force on the Environment and the Hawaii Earth Day 1990 Advisory Board. Thielen was Vice-Pres. of the Kailua Neighborhood Board and a former President of the Hawaii Children's Museum of Arts, Science, Culture and Technology.
