Honolulu League Plans General Membership Meeting

The general membership meeting will be held Saturday, November 3, 9:30 am to noon, at Marian Wilkins' home, 703 Paopua Loop, Enchanted Lakes.

"Why Do These Kids Love School?", a 60-minute documentary from award-winning film maker, Dorothy Fadiman, will be shown.

This film is based on three assumptions:

1) That learning is an active process, based not only on thinking but on direct, personal experience.

2) Ideally, school is a supportive community where the responsibility for what happens is shared by everyone involved.

3) The goal is to have students enjoy learning, to feel competent as learners, and to feel good about themselves.

Marion Saunders and Libby Oshiyama will be available to respond to questions at the conclusion of the presentation.

Please call the office by October 25 to make your reservation. Refreshments will be served.

For those of you who will ride the bus, take Bus #57 and ask the driver to drop you off at Palawiki. Cross Wanaao Rd. and turn right into Paopua Loop. Marian's residence is the 9th house. If you would like to car pool, please call the office for information.
