Membership Orientation Meetings
Two Orientation Meetings have been held for new and prospective members. The first was in Manoa in January at the home of Joyce Loo, and the second at the home of Astrid Monson in Kailua in February. Many thanks to these members who opened their homes and offered their gracious hospitality.
The primary purpose of these meetings is to present a comprehensive picture of League activities and its policies and to meet the leadership of the League in a social setting. Meeting each other in neighborhoods promotes friendships and maintenance of membership. It is an opportunity for those attending to join activities and committees of their interest.
THESE MEETINGS ARE OPEN TO ANY MEMBER. Check the Voter for meeting dates. THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE IN THE OFFICE IN APRIL OR MAY.
Efforts continue to complete reaching all members through the telephone tree. Callers have been busy and we expect to complete the organization of the telephone tree soon so it can be operational in March. This personal reaching-out to members from members is an additional effort to personalize the League and retain members. THANKS to all our busy members who have agreed to help in this effort.
