Board Cuts Down the Telephone Tree

The telephone tree, in operation for about 10 months, was designed to achieve a better communication between members, the Board, and the various committees. It was also a way for some members who could not be too active to be more involved. However, it did require some of the busiest members to initiate the tree and to keep up with changes in the membership.

Unfortunately, the experiment did not work out as well as we had hoped. Problems included informing the callers about the changes in the roster, and availability of the callers. After discussion with the Board of Directors, it was felt that the tree project should be dropped. We want to thank all of you who participated in the experiment, and invite other ideas for keeping in closer touch with all of our members.

Membership Enhancement Coordinator
