Education Committee

New members on the Board of Education, and new chairpersons of legislative education committees have been invited to meet with the League Education Committee on Wed., Dec. 7.

One of the early schools we were involved with, Kapa'a Elementary School on Kauai, is now a model schools-within-aschool. It has eight mini schools, each focused on some distinctive program or learning strategy. Dr. Mary Anne Raywid from Hofstra University, who has been advising the project from the beginning, and a panel from Kapa'a will make a presentation of this project at a spring convention in San Francisco.

We welcome anyone interested in education to join our committee.

Marion Saunders
Chair, Education Committee
