Planning Conferences

Two conferences relating to planning are scheduled for the fall. Details are still sketchy but you may wish to reserve the dates on your calendar now. Both will be held at the East-West Center.

Preserving Hawaii's Traditional Landscapes is a 3-day affair scheduled for September 15 and 16. The September 17 session, featuring the Ewa housing rehabilitation program, will take place at Ewa Plantation Village.

From the Ground Up: Community-based Planning in Hawaii on October 28 will explore and advocate a new framework for communities of place planning that will include community groups, government agencies and design professionals.
