Condolences

Bertha Toshiko Kon
Member Since 1974

We wish to express our condolences to the family of Bertha Icon who passed away on January 4, 1996. Bertha joined League soon after her retirement from the Social Security Administration in 1974. She served on Honolulu League's Transportation Committee and the City Funds Study Committee.
Bertha known for her pleasant, cheerful personality could always be depended on to volunteer for vote counts and other activities, and attended most of League's membership meetings until about three years ago when caring for her ailing mother demanded most of her time.
Bertha and her husband enjoyed traveling to different parts of the world, especially cruises to exotic ports.
The many Leaguers who knew Bertha and worked with her on many of our projects will miss her greatly. League has lost a true friend in Bertha.

The League of Women Voters of Honolulu
wishes to express its heartfelt sympathy
to the families and friends of

Member Since 1994

but rather to bemoan the loss of one
whose scent has vanished from the air. "
