Kona Meeting

Our most recent small Kona meeting was held on March 10th and was very interesting. We think the idea of these meetings has been working out very well. Each time we have met Leaguers from other areas, whom we never see at our large meetings. We have great discussions and this last time some of us had an informal lunch afterwards and enjoyed chatting and getting to know each other. We find we get a lot done and it is easier for people to express ideas and feel at ease speaking in a smaller group. We hope more Leaguers and guests will attend. It will still be small enough to encourage sharing.

Because of the close proximity of the State Convention on April 28 and our Annual meeting on May 5, we will be postponing the next Kona meeting, originally scheduled for May 12. The new date is June 9, 2007 (still the second Saturday of the month) at the usual time, 10 a.m. until noon, at the Neighborhood Place of Kona, 74-5565 Luhia Street (at the crossroads of Luhia and Kaiwi streets in the “Old Industrial Area” in Kona.) We will focus on discussing alternative formats for the next candidate forums.
