Hawaii Coalition Against Legalized Gambling (HCALG)

HCALG, with the Hawaii Commission on the Status of Women and Women's Health Month, is giving a presentation at the Church of the Crossroads. It will be on Thursday September 21 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Program includes Mr. Dean Harvest, 15 year recovering addicted gambler, Dr. Violet Horvath, Professor of Social Work at UH, and excerpts from a film depicting effects of gambling on children and families. For further information call 595-7766 (HCALG)

HCALG is participating in the Foodland and Sack and Save "Give Aloha" program. We are in great need of your financial support at this time. From Sept.1 to 30 present your Makai'i card at the store checkout and tell the cashier you would like to make a contribution to HCALG # 78316. If you don't have a Makai'i card, request one at the checkout. Your donation will be added to the grocery purchase total (but no purchase actually necessary). You may give up to $249. All of your donation will come to HCALG. A portion of the donation will be matched. All donations are tax deductible. For more information call 595-7766. Mahalo!
