Vol. XLIII No. 4 Did you notice this volume and issue number in the masthead of this issue? The last issue that displayed that information was 35 years ago - Vol. VIII No. 4 - May 1973! In the mid-70s, both the State and Honolulu League newsletters stopped showing the volume and issue number. (For that reason it’s not so easy to know if there’s a missing issue in our archives for those years.) The first issue of the State newsletter - Vol. I No. 1 - was April, 1965. It was called the “Hawaii Voter” then, and the masthead looked like this: The symbol in the right corner was the LWV logo:
