Resolution Presented and Passed at State Convention

Whereas, the League of Women Voters of Honolulu recognizes:

  1. The important role an organization composed of the various counties plays in maintaining clout with the State Administrative and Legislative Branches; and

  2. The limitations on time of available person-power and fundraising capabilities within the State;

Therefore, be it resolved that the Boards of the League of Women Voters of Hawaii and the League of Women Voters of Honolulu will:

  1. Continue a joint fundraising committee to enhance coordination of efforts:

  2. Continue a joint budget committee which will periodically review the status of available funds and expenditures;

  3. Continue a joint year-round nominating committee, which will look for potential League leaders and, in addition, make recommendations for nominations by the League to serve on state and county boards and committees and for special needs which may arise;

  4. Coordinate "program planning" and "calendar planning" (mechanism to be developed jointly).
