League News and Voter Service
Kauai League
Members of the Kauai LWV have been very active with voter service activities over the past few months. The Kauai League's Voters Guide to Candidates, a traditional election year service of the league, was published in the September
11th issue of the Garden Island. This year's Guide covered candidates for mayor, county council, prosecuting attorney and the State House of Representatives.
The Kauai League also co-sponsored a pre-primary forum for mayoral and council candidates on September 10. The forum was co-sponsored by the Maile Business and Professional Women, the YWCA, and the Family Community Leadership Program (UH Extension Service). Another forum is scheduled to be held prior to the General Election.
