At Home At home, the State of Hawaii Department of Human Services has printed a Guide to Services, DHS mission is to maximize the capability of those they serve and the guide is a ready reference of state services in the Family and Adult Services, Health Care, Vocational Rehabilitation and Services for the Blind divisions. SPAN (SINGLE PARENT FAMILY ADVOCACY NETWORK) supports single parents, women and girls seeking resources and information. They have a variety of activities and appreciate volunteer help. Call 538-1524 to provide direct services. Planned Parenthood writes in an August letter that their AUW membership was terminated in January 1988 because of the controversy generated by plans for abortion services. PP can receive contributions if pledge card for Donor Option Plan D provided by AUW is used. If you choose to support them in this way, be sure to specify the right card.
