Kaua'i League Compiles Video and Print Voter Guides

First-time candidates and seasoned politicians alike had an opportunity to get their message out to the public through the Kauai League's video and print voter guides. Everyone from Bob Cariffe, former president of Earthlings Against Communism, to U.S. Representative Patsy Mink turned out to participate in the video guide, taped at the Kauai Outrigger Hotel on August 17. The program appeared on Ho'Ike Community Television throughout the month of September.

The print guide, returned by the overwhelming majority of those running for elective office, put candidates on the record on such issues as land use initiative, moratorium on resort zoning, high-three reform, and many other issues of concern to Kauai voters.
