Chair Keith-Agaran, Vice-Chair Shimabukuro, and Committee Members: The League of Women Voters of Hawaii supports HB 287, HD 1, which amends the UIPA to establisha significant privacy interest in government records whose disclosure would create a substantial anddemonstrable risk of physical harm to an individual. Although we strongly opposed HB 287, the bill hasbeen appropriately amended to address our concerns. Thank you for the opportunity to submit testimony.
