The League of Women Voters strongly supports H.B.455 that provides funding for family planning clinical and contraceptive services; family planning health educators; education materials, multi-media equipment, and training; and new outreach services. Our Hawaii Planned Parenthood organization and our other family planning organizations are an important part of our community, one that League supports wholeheartedly. Since 1995 State family planning funds have dwindled by 90%. League supports reinstating State funding for family planning services in order to ensure that our teens, women and families are adequately supported in preventing unintended pregnancies and their consequences. We urge you to support H.B.455. Thank you for this opportunity to support this bill.
