The League of Women Voters supports SB 1083 and its adequate funding to wire all state capitol conference rooms used for public hearings, the capitol auditorium, and both chambers, to allow for video broadcasts. This is a good step forward to improve public access capabilities.

Not only does this make good business sense as a sound investment that will avoid the costs in money and time of the current manual installations by a contractor, it will help enhance government operational capabilities and very importantly, facilitate citizen participation.

We urge the passage and funding of HB 1083. Thank you for the opportunity to testify on this bill.
