Annie Kim Honored at a Festive Luncheon

Annie Kim was celebrated at a festive gathering of League members before the July 11 Board meeting at the YWCA Lamakea Cafe. The group recognized Annie for her many years of dedication as she retires from the position of treasurer of the Honolulu League. Her commitment and reliability proved to be the backbone of the day-to-day operations in the League office. Not only did Annie serve as treasurer; she was membership chair for many years and official registrar at our meetings. She never took the high-profile, glory jobs. But she was always there to do the necessary work. Her prowess as proofreader of long lists and newsletters is legendary. Annie's friendly and happy manner made any visit to the League office a joy. At the luncheon Annie kept saying she never expected all this. That was a typical Annie reaction: she expected no thanks for all her service. We will miss her and hope she visits the office often. Thank you Annie.
