Annual Meeting SpeakerThe speaker for our annual meeting is Kanu Hawaii Executive Director James Koshiba. Kanu Hawaii is a movement of people drawing on island strengths to make Hawaii a model of environmental sustainability, economic resilience and compassionate community. Their movement is driven by a deep love for Hawaii. At our December Planning Meeting, speaker UH Professor James Dator shared his views that the end of the world as we have known it is at hand. He suggested possible futures for Hawaii that should be considered by those who live here. A lively discussion ensued. The subject is worthy of continued discussion. James Koshiba has been asked to share the activism of Kanu Hawaii and its proposals for change. League members should find this discussion just as stimulating as that with Professor Dator.
