Concurrence on Reproductive ChoicesIn November, Honolulu League will join local Leagues across the nation in helping to decide what the National League position will be on the important issue of reproductive choices. At that time, League members will be asked whether they concur with the following position: "The League of Women Voters of the United States believes that public policy in a pluralistic society must affirm the constitutional right of privacy of the individual to make reproductive choices." We have on order from National, copies of FACTS AND ISSUES, "Public Policy on Reproductive Choices," which each member will be receiving as soon as they arrive. It and an article in the Fall National Voter which you should be receiving soon will provide the background for our discussion. We hope everyone will take the opportunity to read this very comprehensive publication as well as the article in the National Voter. Concurrence will take place at a general meeting on November 20 at the McCully Library. Additional information on the meeting will be included in the November issue of the Aloha Voter.
