High-Traffic Websites Team Up to Sponsor 'Rolling Cyber Debate'![]() Seventeen of the Internet's most popular Websites, including Yahoo!, AmericaOnline and MSNBC.com, have announced that they will host a rolling presidential debate online this fall as part of the Markle Foundation's Web, White & Blue 2000. The online debate is designed to supplement the televised presidential debates by providing the candidates a forum to offer longer answers. The sponsors are working with former White House press secretary Mike McCurry and former Republican consultant Doug Bailey to secure candidate participation. The rolling debate would begin in October and continue until the November 7 election. Each of the high-traffic Websites plans to link to the debate at www.webwhiteblue.org, offering a potential audience of about 70 million Americans. In addition to the rolling debate, Web White & Blue will also offer, beginning in mid-June, a regular "Best of the Best" digest of campaign information culled from media and non-profit partner Websites.
