Our First Gubernatorial Panel of the YearAt its annual state meeting this year Council, held on May 18 -League members heard from gubernatorial candidates John Carroll, Republican, and Representative Ed Case, Democrat. They appeared on a panel skillfully moderated by Linda Colburn, and both were open and direct in answering the questions put to them on issues of concern to League, regarding education, public funding of campaigns, environment, gambling, and the economy. Residents of One Kalakaua joined League members in posing further questions, and both candidates stayed to talk with individuals afterward.
