Howard Criss The League announces with great sorrow the passing of longtime Leaguer and Education Committee member Howard Criss. He was a participant in many civic events, attended many more public meetings than most of us do, and was also steadily enrolled in courses at the Academy for Lifelong Learning. Howard was so filled with Aloha for men and women, friend and stranger that some of those who knew him called him "Howard the Hugger." His friendly greeting, his loyal participation, and his perpetual willingness to help will be missed by many who knew him.
