Initiative and Referendum StudyThe study on Initiative and Referendum will be sent to each member soon. As you may remember, this study is an examination of how Initiative and Referendum are working in the country today. The purpose is to determine if our State League wishes to continue to support our present position on I & R. We ask that you read the study and consider the consensus questions carefully before arriving at your responses. We also recommend that local Leagues hold some discussion meetings on I & R because, in the past, this has proved a very good way to thoroughly examine a rather complicated subject. We found that several heads were better than one because of the ideas and questions that members are able to bring forth. For those members who are unable to attend meetings we will ask that you mail in your responses. More information will be coming with the study. Marian Wilkins |
