Sad NewsMy husband, Craig Whitesell, died on June 20. He had been a League member since the mid 1970s when the LWVUS voted to admit men as full members. He was the second man to join LWV of Honolulu; the first was Claude duTeil, founder of IHS. Craig served on the State Board from 1975-77 as director of Finance and Development. * * * With deepest sympathy to Carol, and meaning no disrespect to Craig, we wonder whether as a founder of the League in Hawaii Allan Saunders wasn't one of the first three men to join the Honolulu chapter? |
