D.A.R. ... Again
A coalition of citizen organizations is again supporting legislation which would require a deposit to be paid on all beverage container purchases. Last year the bill did not get out of the Senate committee, This year we hope that a concerted effort by several like-minded organizations will result in the passage of a workable bill which will help Hawaii conserve resources and reduce litter. We want to start out with a mail campaign to all legislators in the House and Senate. Please clip and paste the coupons below and send them on a postcard to your legislators. Better still, write your own letter or telephone your legislators. If you do not have the names of your representatives, call the League office. Take a few minutes to start the ball rolling and ask your friends to do the same,
