Happy Birthday, LWV! On February 15, Senator Mary George introduced a Senate Resolution commemorating the League of Women Voters on its 60th Birthday. On hand to accept the honors for the League were: Pat Shutt, State League President; Jean Ko, Honolulu League President; Marguerite Simson, Hawaii's first State League President; Marion Saunders, one of the founders of the State and Honolulu Leagues; Jerry Hess, past State League President; and Arlene Woo, Public Relations Chairperson. A copy of the resolution will be sent to Ruth Hinerfeld, President of the LWVUS. Marguerite Simson, Pat Shutt, Marion Saunders, Jerry Hess, Carol Whitesell, and Jean Ko.
